My Daughter’s Photos of the Exotic Bali

Last year, during vacation days my daughter visited Bali along with her classmate friends for a week. Since Bali is well known for its beautiful tour destinations, I asked her to bring a digital camera. And, I remind her to take some pictures. The results, some of her shots I show you here.

Dear Bloggers, Bali is Indonesia’s most well known tourist destination. Bali is located at the westernmost of the Lesser Sunda Islands. It is lying between the Java Island to the west and the Lombok Island to the east.

In 2009, its population amounted to more than 3.5 million. More than 90% of Bali's population adheres to Balinese Hinduism, while most of the remainders follow Islam, Christian, as well as Roman Catholic.

Bali is renowned for its sophisticated, diverse art forms, and highly developed arts, including painting, music, dance, performing arts, sculpture, leather, and metalworking. Kecak dance, Pendet, Legong, etc. are several examples of Bali's famous dances.

Bali is also well known for its beautiful beaches and museums. Examples of its beaches include Kuta, Sanur, as well as Legian, etc. And, its renowned museums include Antonio Blanco, Bali Art Center, Agung Rai Museum of Arts (ARMA), etc.

Other than its beautiful beaches and museums, Bali also has a well known celebration. It’s called Nyepi, the Hindu New Year. Nyepi is celebrated by a day of silence when everyone stays at home, even no activity at all here. Interested to visit Bali?
